The mission of the Cartographic Society of Finland, founded in January 26th 1957,
is to promote the discipline and profession of cartography and geoinformatics.
By the end of the year 2013 the Society had 141 members.
The Cartographic Society of Finland is a member of the
Federation of Finnish Learned Societies. The Society also represents Finnish
cartographers as a national committee of the International
Cartographic Association.
