Helsinki Tour, August 21

Get to know the best parts of Helsinki on a guided bus tour on Monday 21 August. Helsinki, the Pearl of the Baltic, is a little bit of west, a little bit of east but totally Finnish!

The duration of the tour is ca two hours and you will see the most important sites of the city. You will also hear the story of Helsinki and Finland from past to present.

The departure is from the bus stop outside the Museum of Contemporary Art, Kiasma at 13.00. Please register your interest by using the registration form. Updated price: 45 euros per person.

The tour will end in Pasila so you will able to attend the Finnish history lecture.

Post-conference tour to Southwest Finland, August 25-27

Post Tour to the eastern part of Finland -beautiful views and interesting places mixed with cartography and history!

After 40th IMCOS symbosium in Helsinki you have a great possibility to enjoy something more and especially organized for IMCOS participants.

On this post tour you can experience atmosphere of the old wooden cities and their architecture, explore Salpa Line (a bunker line on the eastern border of Finland) and visit magnificent Maritime Centre Vellamo and its exhibitions. We also get to know some lovely places like Langinkoski, the old imperial fishing lodge and Strömfors Ironworks, which is nowadays popular attraction for visitors.

We will leave Helsinki on Friday morning at 9am and will be back in Helsinki on Sunday by 1pm. Our bus stop is outside the Museum of Contemporary Art, Kiasma (map attached).

During tour we have experienced guides to give detailed information and stories to ensure, that your interest will be at the high level.

Updated prices (11 May 2023): This tour cost 960 euros per person when you have an accommodation in a double room and for one person 1093 euros (accommodation in a single room).

The prices include two meals per day (no drinks), accommodation, bus tour and all exhibition fees and guidance.
